Presentation for Inclusionary Housing – 1/23

Concerned about Affordable Housing in Oak Park?

Come hear about an approach that has been implemented in over 500 communities across the country. Inclusionary Housing or Zoning ordinances, mandating affordable housing set-asides has been used to promote affordable housing and maintain racial integration. A community that has successfully passed an Inclusionary Housing ordinance is Evanston, a community that like Oak Park, values racial, social and economic diversity.

Please join Housing Forward and others on Tuesday, January 23rd at 7 p.m. at the Dole Public Library for a presentation on Inclusionary Housing by two leaders of the successful campaign in Evanston, Sue Loellbach, Advocacy Manager for Connections for the Homeless in Evanston and Mark Tandem, former alderman for 8 years in Evanston. We look forward to hearing insights on how to pass an inclusionary housing ordinance as the first step to launching our own campaign in Oak Park.
