A nonprofit with a considerable Oak Park footprint recently received a significant grant from Cook County that will go toward its mission of addressing housing insecurity in the west suburbs.

I was pleased to join Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, Representative Camille Lilly, Cook County Commissioner Brandon Johnson, and Oak Park Village President Vicki Scaman to announce that Housing Forward has been awarded a $100,000 Cook County Justice Advisory Council grant, to be used for housing individuals experiencing homelessness and members of the reentry community.
