Trustee Straw first served in Oak Park on the Transportation Commission before being elected to the Village Board. More recently he was in the news when he was charged by federal prosecutors in connection with his peaceful protests at the Broadview ICE Detention Facility. The felony charges have been dropped, but he is still facing misdemeanor charges. We are excited to welcome him as our guest speaker!

Thank you to everyone who attended DPOP's April Second Saturday meeting! We were excited to welcome Rep. Margaret Croke who is running to be Illinois' next Comptroller (& who grew up in Oak Park) and Deputy Governor Christian Mitchell who is running to be our next Lt.
