Join Oak Park Progressive Women for a screening of Vice's Raised in the System.

Michael Kenneth Williams (The Wire, The Night Of) examines the juvenile justice system and investigates solutions communities are employing that are resulting in drastic drops in crime and incarceration.

Screening will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Michelle Mbekeani (Juvenile Justice Policy Advisor) which includes Kim Foxx (Illinois State's Attorney), Shobha Mahadev (Attorney)

With over 850,000 juvenile arrests every year and 48,000 kids sitting in lock-up daily, the U.S. has the highest incarceration rate of minors on Earth. There are solutions and we need to all be a part of making change.
