Cook County Together Grassroots Kickoff – 5/6

Fellow Democrats:

Since the November election, we have been contacted by thousands of new volunteers and people wanting to get involved. We are proud to announce our new volunteer initiative to harness this energy so we can work together to defeat Rauner in 2018 and Trump in 2020 -- Cook County Together!

Our first kickoff meeting will be Saturday May 6, from 10 AM till Noon at Teamster City (300 S Ashland) and we have a great lineup of speakers for this event, including elected officials, labor leaders and activists:

- Hear from speakers on Democratic issues & strategy including President Toni Preckwinkle, Commissioner Debra Shore (MWRD), representatives from CTU and other labor unions, and grassroots Democratic strategists. Full speaking line-up will be released soon

- MOST IMPORTANTLY: Find out how you can get involved, including with a countywide canvass and voter registration effort that will be starting the following weekend.

You won't want to miss this event! All are welcome and it is completely free. Please RSVP so in advance so we have a good count of how many people will be attending:

Teamster City (300 S Ashland) is just two blocks from the Racine Blue Line station (Loomis exit), and the #9 Ashland and #126 Jackson buses stop out front. Free street parking is available, as well as a parking garage on Jackson just west of Ashland.
Here is our Facebook event to join and share as well:
